Parking fees
Most hikes are at state
recreation area which charge
$6 per day or $26 for the year.
The Metro parks have similar
daily fees with annual rates of
$20.

TIME, DATE, PLACE: Sunday, August 17th at 10 a.m. Proud Lake Recreation
Area, southeast of Milford
DIRECTIONS: From I-96, take exit 159 (Wixom Road).
-- If you’re coming from the east, turn right at the end of the ramp onto Wixom
Road. If you’re coming from the west, turn left at the end of the ramp onto
Wixom Road.
--Follow Wixom for six miles (follow the Wixom Road signs -- Wixom Road zig-
zags, running north-south and east-west)
--Take Wixom Road to the headquarters entrance at 3500 Wixom Road
--Follow the signs to the foot trails parking lot, where we'll meet.
TERRAIN: A couple small hills; flat otherwise
LENGTH: 3.5 miles.
PARK ADMISSION: $6 per vehicle or 26$ for annual State Park sticker.
DOES PARK ALLOW DOGS ON HIKE? Yes
IN ADDITION: Prepare for muddy, soggy conditions.
